The date today is 9/24/06. My cousin was Tommy L. Gates. He died from wounds received on 11/25/70. He did not die until 1986. There was a man hit the same time who wants info on Tommy. For some reason I can't get back to the website on "onThe Virtual Wall" to get your address.(e-mail), or name. I have put out alerts for you on VetFriends.com, and here. My e-mail is ggould@cinci.rr.com I have newspaper clippings about him, and when his mother fought to get his name on THE WALL (1994). Contact me - I have free nationwide long distance also. I am an ex-juggy 1968-70. I have cancer, so time might be limited. ASAP I want to do this for all of us. SEMPER FI.
From a cousin, |
On April 9, 1970 there were many others wounded, not just two. Jose Morales, Tom Patchell, and a grunt named Bristol were all in the same squad as Mace and Gates. I was with these good soldiers and was also wounded that day.
