PFC John Kim Vogelsang had started his tour in Vietnam on May 22, 1969 and was killed a little over two weeks later, June 6, when an unknown size enemy force attacked a Forward Operating Point he and his unit was manning. He was awarded the Bronze Star. He is buried at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was survived by his wife Susan M and parents Mr. and Mrs. Paul Vogelsang, all from St. Louis Park, Minnesota. John K Vogelsang Photo, Date unknown
