I was only 19 when my fiancee' Ronald Eugene Showmaker was killed with only a few weeks left before coming home. I have sinced married but have never forgotten him and still have over 200 letters that he wrote to me and most of them from Vietnam. I think of him often and how young he was when he lost his life for a cause I did not understand so many years ago. He will always be in my heart and my memories.
