A Note from The Virtual WallThe 446th Transportation Company was a medium truck company stationed at Long Binh,where it was part of the 7th Transporation Battalion. In the early part of 1968 the Company was transferred to Quang Tri Province in northernmost South Vietnam, and in March 1968 it was under operational control of the Marines' Force Logistical Support Group Bravo at Dong Ha.The FLSG Bravo Command Chronology for March 1968 contains the following entry: "08 Mar 66 - Approximately 50 rounds incoming enemy rockets and artillery. ... 446th Transportation Company, U. S. Army, received following casualties and damage: 9 - KIA, 12 - WIA, ..."The Virtual Wall can identify eight of the nine men who died in the barrage, all from the 446th TC:
