Jim Palmeri, graduation photo 12 Feb 2004 Jim, As your 35th anniversary approaches, my thoughts and memories turn to you. It's hard to believe it has been so long; but to me, it seems like yesterday! I have many memories of our youthful years together, the most vivid and memorable one being before your military service during the Vietnam conflict. I was home on leave from the Army after basic and AIT training, before being shipped overseas for duty. You and I were wrestling on the side lawn of our house and Mother thought that I was going to easily beat you - I being the bigger and more athletic type and you being the skinny, scrapy type. You threw me to the ground very quickly and Mother had a silent laugh as she was watching us out the kitchen window! I wish you were here to try again. Your sister-in-law, Denise, said "if there was a stairway to heaven, she would climb it and bring you back home to us!" As long as you live in the heart of someone, you never have died. Rest in peace Jim.
Your big brother, Jack
