CPL EMIL MAX MILTNOVICH

9 Jan 2005

Max, If tears could bring you back you would of been here a long time ago.

You will never know how you have touched my heart and how your memory lives in it. I will always remember the sweet and thoughtful friend you were.

You were very brave and I am proud of you.
You are not only my friend, you are my hero.

God bless until we meet again. I have a lot to tell you.
I miss you more than you know.

Your friend, Vicki

A Note from The Virtual Wall

On 25 September 1971 Corporal Miltnovich was flying as door gunner when he was hit and killed by enemy fire as his Huey was hovering over an LZ southeast of LZ Professional. Although the casualty record indicates the Huey crashed, it did not; Cpl Miltnovich was the only casualty. He was the Company's Operations Clerk and was the last soldier from the 174th AHC to die in Vietnam.
