A Note from The Virtual Wall

In the third week of May the North Vietnamese and Viet Cong forces launched their third - and as it turned out, last - major offensive of 1968. The freshly introduced NVA 304th Division and other NVA/VC forces were active in Quang Tri Province, and BLT 2/4 was introduced into the fighting. The BLT 2/4 Marines lost 32 men between 17 May and 06 June, with the majority - 19 men - killed in action in very heavy fighting near Nhi Ha on 25-29 May 1968:
