Rex LaDuke was my uncle. He died when I was a young child, and left behind a family who adored him. Rex was known for his kind heart and big smile. His mother, my grandma, said she never got over the intense pain of losing her beloved son. Rex stories are still common in Kimberly, Wisconsin, as he touched a lot of people in his short life.

The family is grateful that after many years, a Vietnam vet from California, contacted us to let us know he had served with Rex in Vietnam. He was able to give us some information about his time over there.

May God bless all those who serve to protect America. I'm so proud to be an American.

From his niece.
