I was with SSG Johnson from the time of his arrival to just before he was killed. SSG Johnson was a good man as well as a dedicated soldier. His professionalism combined with his friendiness and concern for his fellow soldiers made him a man that everyone could look to with total confidence and admiration. Men followed him because he was a friend as well as a great Non-Commissioned Officer. It would be foolish to say that he didn't see race differences but only fitting to say that he viewed us all as brothers in arms. Rest in God's loving care, my brother, for you shall not be forgotten.
