PFC Jimenez-Roig arrived at D Company headquarters on Long Binh Post, RVN, and was assigned to 2nd Platoon. The 2nd Platoon was "TDY" (temporary duty) with the 94th Engineer Detachment (Quarry) at Vung Tau and he was to join up with us there. However, three days after his arrival he was found dead in his bunk at Long Binh from an apparent heroin overdose. I never knew him, but I am expressing sympathy to his family on behalf of D Company.
