I had only known you for a short time,
Your son, Steve |
I am trying to contact Steven Henry, son of First Sergeant Nelson Page Henry. We remember your Daddy very well, we also remember your Mother, Johnnie, your sister Connie and you Steve. You and Connie were both born while we lived next door to you at Fort McCampbell. We have visited the Vietnam Memorial when it was in our area and traced your Daddy's name from the Wall. It is a memorial we will always keep. I would love to be able to contact all of you. Our email address is glenndmarya@at&t.net. You have been "talking" to our son, Glenn D. Hester Jr. We are so happy that he has found you. Please contact us, Mary Agnes and Dick Hester

I served with the 501st Infantry, 101st Airborne Div at Fort Campbell between 1962-1965. I knew PSgt Nelson for a while. He was an outstanding airborne soldier. He made Division Soldier of the Year in 1963, presented by Maj Gen Critz on24 October 1963. I found this memorial while browsing. I just wanted to say "he's remembered well" and let his family and friends know that he was an outstanding paratrooper.
