Tim Dorsey was loved by everyone who knew him. He was kind, sensitive, gentle, athletic, handsome and seemed to wear a perpetual grin. He loved people and so it's a shame that he ever had to go into a war to kill people. I'm sure his heart wasn't in it, but he had a job to do and he did it. I'm glad that I knew him, that I was a friend. I know how devastated all his friends were upon learning of his death. "Oh, no, not Timmy!" That's what everyone said. |
A Note from The Virtual WallPFC William T. Dorsey was a combat medic assigned to Headquarters Company, 6/31 Infantry, but he was in the field with C Company 6/31 when he was killed by an "explosive device" - a mine or booby trap.Medics on the Wall memorial which honors the Army Medics and Navy Corpsmen who died in Vietnam. |
