It was a real pleasure to know you. I often think back to all the fun we had at Webster School yard. Also, the time the scouts camped out at Harrogate Park. You were so young to have to leave us. You were a very special person and loved by everyone who knew you, Cubby. May you rest in Peace.

A Note from The Virtual Wall

On December 16, 1967, C Company, 1/5 Infantry (Mech), was colocated with the battalion forward base camp near Thien Ngon airfield in Tay Ninh Province. In late morning a VC force attacked the company with rocket-propelled grenades and automatic weapons. Four members of the company died in the attack, with a dozen or more wounded. The dead were
