Sp. 4 Bruce C. Christian, U.S. Army, 21 719 Mill St. was killed in action 8 Sep (1968) when hit by a rocket in Vietnam. He died at Camp Evans, north of Hue. Christian was a member of the 8th Combat Engineers of the First Air Cavalry Division. He had been in Vietnam since 8 Jan (1968), and in the Army for a year. a 1966 Snohomish High School graduate, Christian was born in Brooklyn. He was an Eagle Scout and president of the Luther League at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Snohomish. In addition to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry L. Christian, he leaves his sister, Katherin, and brother, Karl; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Favae Lamphere of Shonomish and maternal grandfather, Murl Harpham of Summit City CA. Services: Saturday, 1 pm Christ the King Lutheran Church, Snohomish, Pastor Olaf A. Anderson officiating; burial, Gar Cemetery.
