Notes from The Virtual Wall On 23 April 1967 a UH-1D (tail number 64-13525) of the 129th AHC struck trees while lifting off from a confined area. The aircraft crashed and burned, killing four of the eight men aboard: 129th AHC crewmen: WO1 Edward William Wells, pilot, died WO1 H. D. Sauer, pilot, survived SP4 W. D.
