Sp4 Richard Lease, I know of you only because you were in Gerry's Platoon. I will learn about you I promise, as you are not just a name on the Wall but a person, a child. I have a daughter who is approaching your age, I could not fathom the pain of losing her, and my heart goes out to your family. I want to thank you for your courage to defend the future for myself and my family, Mr Lease. I am teaching my youngest daughter of all you brave men, so that you will live in the hearts of future Americans. Your sacrifice was a noble one, yet that does not lessen the pain of your loss. I will live my life with your name in my mind and your actions in my heart. The Lord welcomed you into his kingdom that day, and you are missed here on earth. Thank you. "HONOR AND COURAGE"
