The database page for James C Wood
JC, I did not know you very well in this life, you were but one of many cousins. I have learned much more of you in death than in life. But I know your mother. And I know how much she thinks of you, of her love for her son that never came home. I have seen the pictures she took at the airport sending you off to your second tour in Vietnam. The last pictures she took of you. I know how she misses you. No one can talk of you come June. It is her time with you. After all these years she still makes time for you. Thank you, JC, for what you gave. Thank you from a cousin who never knew you, but still thinks of you.
You are in our hearts. Even now.
If anyone knew JC I would love to hear from them. All information will be passed on to JC's mother. I think she would love to "know" anything concerning him. |
A Note from The Virtual WallCorporal Wood was serving his second tour in Vietnam; during his first tour he was assigned to HHC, 101st Aviation Battalion, 101st Airborne Division. |
