06 Sep 2007 To Clark Walker's friends and family of which there are many ... Clark is and will always be my friend and brother. I am the brother Clark laid down his life for that fateful day so many years ago. If it had not been for Clark's bravery that day I would not be writing this memorial in his honor today. Clark epitomized the Vietnam soldier, young - 19 years of age, all-American ... the kind of person anyone would be glad to call a son, a brother, a friend. Clark loved his family and talked about them often, when we had time to sit and talk. If Clark had not been so devoted to his principles he would have left me that day when I asked him to, but he didn't ... he laid his body between me and hostile fire that day and I thank Clark every day for that. 17 Sep 2007 Clark L. Walker My Brother Clark was my little brother, my friend, my playmate, my best pal. I was four years older than him. My job was to watch over him. To keep him out of trouble and safe. There came a time in our lives when I could not be there beside him. It does not surprise me that he would lay down his life for his brother in the service. He would give all he had and he did. I know that he was loved by his fellow service men and I know that he loved them. Someday I will see him again. We will once again be together forever.
