Nashville, Tennessee Family Friend - Wish I Could Have Known You I remember my grandmother being friends with your mother. As a little boy I saw your picture on the wall at your mother's house and asked about you. It was the only time my grandmother ever snapped at me. A little later, she explained that she did not want to upset your mother. I hope you didn't suffer and I hope you are in heaven now. I think about you occasionally and wonder what kind of person you were and would be. Thanks for serving our country. E-mail address is not available. |
Thomas Gary Standley ("Butch") was my mother's younger brother. I can still so vividly remember him although I was only 11 years old at the time of his death. He was a quiet, gentle gentleman who is still deeply missed by his 10 surviving siblings.
