We were goofy kids in high school, laughing in class. I wished I would have kept track of him, he was a nice person. I had no idea he would someday become a hero.

Charlie Company, 3/12th Infantry, lost two Californians on 26 December 1967: SP4 Daniel C. Faulks of Eureka and PFC Renny D. Schoel of Marysville.

Renny Dean Schoel is buried in Crypt 123, Wall H, Rose Terrace, of the Sierra View Memorial Park, Yuba County, California.
