WHEN I MUST LEAVE YOU

When I must leave you for a little while,
Please go on bravely with a gallant smile
And for my sake and in my name,
Live on and do all things the same-
Spend not your life in empty days,
But fill each waking hour in useful ways-
Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer,
And I in turn will comfort you and hold you near.
Helen Steiner Rice

This was Charles' wish - that we all go on with our lives as if he was still with us.
He will always be missed and loved very much.

I have heard many stories about him, but mostly how he died fighting for the Country he loved. I know he was loved very much by his mother, my grandmother, and brother, my dad. He was a great man and a great soldier.
