I would just like to say that I never got to meet my Uncle Thomas but he and my mother were very close and I know his death was very hard on our family. I was born in August of 69, 3 months after he was killed. He was killed on May 9th, 1969 by a booby trap in Quang Ngai Province. He is deeply missed by all of us! God Bless You and everyone else who sacrificed themselves in Vietnam.
Your nephew, |
I found this a long time ago and think of my husband every time I read it!
Don't think of him as gone away - his journey's just begun, life holds so many facets this earth is only one. Just think of him as resting from the sorrows and the tears, in a place of warmth and comfort, where there are no days and years. Think how he must be wishing that we could know that day, how nothing but our sadness can really pass away. Think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched... for nothing loved is ever lost... and he is loved so much. From his wife, Lucille M. Markunas rebam7@sbcglobal.net |
