The database page for James Larrian Griffis
My mother's brother, James Larrian Griffis, was killed in Vietnam in a "friendly fire" situation after only five months of service. We know very little about his time in the Army (friends and so on) because my grandmother doesn't like to talk about him - she cries. We believe that he went through Basic Training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, SC, in late 1967. We do not know what unit he was assigned to in Vietnam. We would very much like to hear from anyone who knew him while he was in the service. |
A Note from The Virtual WallThe 110th Transportation Company, a component of the 34th General Support Group, was based at Tan Son Nhut Airbase outside Saigon. |
