The database page for Joel David Fendley
Joel was a very good friend of my mother's. Since I was young, my mom talked of what a wonderful friend he was, and I have always wanted to thank him for being there for her. She was new in town, and he took her in.
Thank you for all that you have done and all that you are doing now.
This memorial is dedicated to my mother's memories of you ...
A memorial from a friend's daughter. |
I met Joel in the fall of 1966. He was the best looking cowboy and had a heart of gold. I did not get to know him as well as I would have liked before he left for Viet Nam but was devastated to hear of his death. I went to his funeral and still from time to time visit his grave. I know he is watching over a lot of friends and family who still have a hole in their heart filled with just memories of him now. Rest in peace, Joel. You will always be my favorite cowboy.
