Hello, Brother, miss you even after all these years. I've met your friend from home Bruce and talking with him is like talking to you again. I know you're in a better place then the hell of Vietnam. I always ask myself "Why you and not me"? I CYA you one of these days and we can catch up on old times. Watch out for me please - I still need you on my six. You know I had to pack your stuff up and send it home. That was hard yet I would do anything for you. SALUTE!!!
Steve Constine 12 Jul 2006 Today I finally found where Daryl is buried, Lakeview Cemetery in Burlington, Vermont! Now maybe I can truly say goodbye to my friend and brother.

I finally found you after all these years, my friend, with the help of your sergeant from in-country. I visited your grave and finally said my good byes and thanked you for the thing you helped me with all those years ago. I left you a couple of Bud Kingers and a pack of Marlboros, from Rocky. I found your mother and sister, sent them a care package for Christmas. All these years later I still miss and think of you. The things you did for me I will never forget.
