James was my Great Uncle. He was raised with my father like a brother. I was told stories as a child, when we looked through the family photo albums, of what a kind, caring man he was. How everyone loved his sense of humor, and how he loved to make people laugh.

I have one cherished photo of him that my grandfather found - he put the picture on his home computer and printed out photos for our entire family to have.

James was killed in action when the military vehicle he was in drove over a land mine.

James Case was my father. He was killed at the young age of 33, leaving behind a wife and two small daughters, ages 9 and 10.

Actually, we never have known the true story of his death. We were given at least three stories as to how he was killed. The Army left it at that!

He has a grandson named after him who just celebrated his 13th birthday. I know that if he were here, my son, James, would be in a lot of mischief just like his Pap! He does have his grandad's sense of humor.

I'd like to see the photo that you speak of in your Memorial to my father. Please share.
