39 years ago today you were lost. My dad's nickname was "Sam", so you may have known him as Sam Carlson (avid sailor from Chicago, Illinois).
From very proud daughter, |
A Note from The Virtual WallThe 10th Fighter Commando Squadron lost two pilots and aircraft on 07 Dec 1966:
About an hour later and 20 miles to the west, Captain Swift was hit by small arms fire while hitting a target south of Tay Ninh. He nursed his aircraft toward Bien Hoa but was forced to eject about 10 miles short of the runway. His parachute malfunctioned and Captain Swift was killed. |
The point-of-contact for this memorial is his daughter, Kim Carlson Benner rkjbenner@comcast.net 23 Jun 2005 |
