A Note from The Virtual WallOn 18 June 1969 the pilot of a UH-1H Huey from the 282nd AHC was hit in the head by ground fire while departing a landing zone about 12 kilometers west of Quang Ngai City. The aircraft rolled inverted and crashed, resulting in the loss of four men:
