I think back to when we were in school - you a senior, me in the first or second grade. Things were innocent in Ridgeville Corners back then. Standing in the lunch line listening to the talk about the war - boy, how I wanted to go ... to do my part for this country and to make it strong. The very next year the same lunch line people crying because you had died. I still see your face and the girl you were talking to ... wish you were here. The last time I saw your memorial in Archbold was when we built a shelter there in the park ... it was good to see you.
A memorial initiated by a schoolmate, |
You were always a kind and considerate person to me... as a younger guy that hung aroung with Pinky and you. Now you are both gone, as well as others like Irv Carter. Maybe it is true that the good die young. Rest in Peace... you deserve it.
From a friend, |
